Good rugged car that's a sedan or suv?
it's hard finding a good car nowadays since there are so many darn options! but please if you know a car that's AWD, can handle off road, has tie downs for strapping something like a canoe or gear to the roof, and is maybe american made? available in standard? that would be amazing! and not cost a fortune like those range rovers, those are kind big anyone. So i guess a compact suv even. Well sorry to take up your time but fuel efficiency would be nice too!

I would go with a Grand Cherokee or Liberty. They are very reliable and We currently own 4 right now. Our 2005 Wrangler puts to extreme off road abuse.
Even a new Jeep wrangler you can get with 4 doors is the best 4x4 on the market right now. Plus you can take the top off and take the doors off.
